Bruta

British brand Inspired by all things Italian

You can’t wear Bruta without being admired. It’s almost embarrassing. But it’s because Arthur Yates’s embroidered and printed cotton pieces are interesting without being over the top, stylish but not too trendy.

Zuhair Marad displays a sleek nautical jumpsuit with a flared hem as a centrepiece; a fit-and-flare knit dress in an abstract butterfly pattern; and sharp-shouldered blazers and cigarette pants that have the potential to turn new women into Zuhair Murad converts.

2017 - Autumns Accessible Attire

From bright colours to subtle frills, the autumn of 2017 has shaped everyone’s wardrobes. With designs breaking vital boundaries, such as the tradition that you can’t wear certain outfits out of season, you may never see your clothes go out of style again.

New York...COLOUR CAPITAL?!

Quite literally seen boldly shown on the New York runways, the block shades of one colour emit pure confidence. Supermodels from Gigi Hadid to Miles McMillan ensnared the audience with the colourful overload on the senses. RAF Simons, Chief Creative Officer for Calvin Klein included his highly anticipated designs for his autumn runway debut. “I don’t usually use block colours, but with modern fashion constantly breaking traditional roles, I thought it was finally the right time to take a real risk and let me tell you; it was the best choice I’ve ever made”. I’m sure you hope as much as I do that we’ll get to see a lot more of his work throughout the next year. These block primary colours are some day to replicate too; just look in pretty much any clothing store and you’ll be sorted!

Opt to Oversize..?

Possibly one of my favourite designs this year, oversized clothing is making a comeback. Yes, you heard me - perfect boyfriend sweater weather. Even better? It now looks great too. Some brands have even begun to capitalise on this idea by purposefully making certain jumpers and tops unisex for more marketing appeal. Although it wasn’t seen as much on the catwalk, you can certainly see it’s many customers all over social media sites such as Instagram, and all around your local streets. I believe this is one of the best designs, as you don’t have to have almost obscene amounts of money to pull it off. Rather than Gucci, head to your local H&M and you’ll be sure to find some simply amazing oversized coats and jumpers for MUCH better prices. Or, alternatively, simply go and raid your partners wardrobe!
